The crossing of Spanish blood with that of the Arabian (or the Anglo-Arabian) results in a very fine type of riding horse. it retains much of the Arabian type, particularly about the head, but combines that special refinement with the substance and the powerful back and quarters that are characteristic of the Spanish horses.
